RETREATS

Our retreats are gatherings that bring together an even wider array of people for shared learning and partnership-building. To date, they have ranged in length from a half-day to three days.

Retreat themes have included building relationships among community engagement staff in higher education, cultivating trans-boundary connections, and advancing the Community Engagement Fellows Coalition.

During retreats, we mix in opportunities to learn about the local area, and to relax and have fun together. They are an enlivening way of refining, sharing, and improving our practices in different contexts, and being a resource for people who cannot access other CE Fellows programming.

Please email Travis Tennessen if you're interested in co-hosting a future retreat.

Our programming takes place on the ancestral homelands of the Coast Salish Peoples, who have lived in the Salish Sea basin, throughout the San Juan Islands and the North Cascades watershed, from time immemorial. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, particularly the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
